Nomfundo Mcoyi wins the Social Entrepreneurship award at the Gagasi Fm SHERO Awards

Through the SHERO 2020 Awards, Gagasi FM paid tribute to innovative and compassionate women who have a flair for problem-solving and are running sustainable businesses that have made an impact in society, whether for profit or not.

The annual Gagasi FM Shero Awards are designed to honor phenomenal women born and bred in KZN who are making a significant contribution locally and internationally in their respective professions/sectors.

Amongst the honoraries was author, and CEO of Icebolethu Group, Nomfundo Mcoyi. She received the Social Entrepreneurship Award and was recognized for her work in contributing to uplifting our communities through the work of the Icebolethu Foundation and the job opportunities created by Icebolethu Group.

This award aims to shine a spotlight on the amazing work the Icebolethu brand has done for the KZN province. Her leadership has propelled the company to great heights. As the company continues to grow so do the CSI initiatives under Icebolethu Foundation. With the understanding that Icebolethu does not operate in a vacuum, giving back to the communities we serve is a priority.

To date, Icebolethu Group has donated immeasurable amounts of groceries, built houses, empowered communities, and continues to do so, but most importantly, it contributes to the country’s economy by being able to provide job opportunities to more than 1000 people.
